In 1975, Thomas Haase developed his first lip balm which allowed him to enjoy his holidays in Denmark without complaints.
In 1987, he introduced the brand lavera (latin for „the true“) and named the company Laverana, after his “true natural cosmetics“ brand plus the ending “na” from the first syllable of Naturkosmetik resp. natural cosmetics.
