The lavera brand, which has been combining pure nature with beauty care for 25 years, received an international award in the course of the lavera Opening Show yesterday evening and can now carry the label, GREEN BRAND Germany.
At the lavera Opening Show, lavera introduced the basic theme of the Eco Fashion Festival: The design artist Katell Gelebart, who was awarded the Töpfer Prize in March 2012, created altogether six haute couture artworks made from old lavera Natural Cosmetics packaging materials (sachet foils and tubes). These were presented to the general public by the famous models Magdalena Brzeska, Eva Habermann, Christine Neubauer, Annabelle Mandeng, Mariella Ahrens and Ralf Bauer at the lavera Opening Show on 16.1. The show was compèred by Bettina Cramer, as she had also done in July 2012.
The magnificent setting culminated in a very special moment for lavera Natural Cosmetics when the certificate was presented: Norbert Lux, COO of the GREEN BRANDS Organisation, handed the GREEN BRAND Germany 2013/2014 certificate to Klara Ahlers, Managing Director of Laverana GmbH & Co. KG, at the Opening Show of the lavera Showfloor at the Berlin Fashion Week!
The international GREEN BRANDS Organisation honours all those brands, that lay emphasis on environmentally-friendly production, that are always mindful of their own co-responsibility for the preservation of natural resources, and commit themselves to the conservation and balance of nature, and also to sustainable development.
The procedure for awarding the GREEN BRANDS is globally exceptional and is divided into three phases. Accordingly, lavera Natural Cosmetics was nominated in the cosmetics category in the course of a representative survey of the German population by the market research institute, Ipsos. In this way, lavera Natural Cosmetics was able to undergo the very demanding testing procedure (validation) supervised by the Scientific Institute for Sustainability SERI, and passed with flying colours. In the final analysis, the top-class jury confirmed its decision to award and present the international quality seal. Environmental protection, sustainability and biological raw materials have always been the most important parameters in the company philosophy of Laverana and its brand lavera. For 25 years, production has been carried out under strict guidelines with the aspiration to combine pure nature with beauty care, and over 300 organic ingredients are used. Honouring lavera with the GREEN BRAND Germany 2013/2014 award confirms the high quality standard of the brand, which is available in 38 countries worldwide.
The company sees the eco-seal as an acknowledgement and additional incentive for the future. Klara Ahlers: „What great motivation for the entire lavera team!
